Is Ceyon really free to use?

Yes. The generous free tier is designed for most personal and small-scale commercial projects. We may introduce paid plans for heavy enterprise usage in the future, but your existing assets will remain untouched.

What is an "Edge Network"?

An edge network is a group of servers located strategically around the world. When you upload an image, we cache it across these global servers. When a user requests it, it's delivered from the server physically closest to them, resulting in incredibly fast load times.

Can I use this for my SaaS application?

Absolutely. Ceyon is perfect for handling user-generated content like avatars, or for hosting static UI assets for your application. The API allows for easy integration into any stack, framework, or backend.

What file types are supported?

Images, source code (JS, Python, HTML, CSS, and 50+ more), text documents, PDFs, Office files (.docx, .xlsx, .pptx), and other document formats. Video and audio files are not supported.

How do downloads work?

In Project Settings, toggle "Allow public downloads." Public assets on allowed domains can then be downloaded by appending ?download=1 to the asset URL. Private assets and domain-restricted requests are always blocked.

How does hotlink protection work?

In your project settings, you can specify which domains (e.g., `yourwebsite.com`) are allowed to display your images. Any request from an unauthorized domain will be automatically blocked, protecting your bandwidth from being stolen.
